1 - Introduction
Our courses are designed to train job-seekers in the Alternative Protein industry and to deliver a comprehensive learning experience. Our courses include oriarily live classes via online meanns access to dedicated communities, the execution of group tasks as well as online video seminars By enrolling in this course, you agree to abide by these Terms of Use for our courses (TOUC) and our Privacy Policy. 2 - Scope
These Terms of Use for courses of Tälist UG, Berlin, Germany (hereafter referred to as “Tälist” or “we”) apply to the contractual agreement (hereinafter referred to as the “Agreement”) between Tälist on the one hand and the participant (also referred to as “participant” or “you”) on the other hand, who is interested in courses offered at www.talist.net (also referred to as “platform”) or any website of Tälist that display these Terms of Use for courses(collectively referred to as “services” hereinafter). If you do not accept our Terms of Use for courses, you cannot use our services and should cease any further use.
We enter into a binding contract when you click in the "masterclass sign up" as we receive this as your offer to participate. The acceptance will be send in text form from or system or from Tälist staff clearly confirming the acceptance including the course start and the price. The emails we send for confirming receipt of your offer or for the email opt in process are not acceptances..
3 - Course Enrollment
To enroll in our courses, you must be at least 18 years old. Accurate and complete personal information must be provided during the enrollment process. Course fees, if any, are due as per the payment terms specified during registration. Failure to provide accurate information about the participant or to complete payment as scheduled may result in the cancellation of enrollment.
To manage the course material Tälist uses the Learning Management System EdApp (https://www.edapp.com). We do not transfer any personal data protected by GDPR or any other data relating to the user to this platform. Upon completion of the enrollment process, the participant will receive a link to access the course material at EdApp. In case you do not accept EdApp's terms and conditions, please contact us under masterclass@talist.org, so we may identify alternate forms of providing the course material.
4 - Course Participation and Conduct
Some of our services on our platform require you to create an account in order to make certain kinds of, or any, use of the service. All our accounts and communities (such as Slack communities) are subject to the following rules.
If asked for any personal details by our staff, you must answer truthfully (see our privacy policy for what we do with those details) within the bounds of the given jurisdiction. You must supply us with a valid e-mail address. Personal details provided to us should not contain sensitive personal information according to Art. 9 GDPR
You are responsible for the security of your accounts and making sure that any contact details in the account are kept up to date. If we need to contact you but are unable to do so, for example, because your e-mail address is no longer valid, then any consequences of that failure will be your responsibility.
You must not let anyone else use your account. Course participation is bound to a specific individual. If pressure is applied to you to do so — for example, if anyone, including an employer, demands your username and password — please inform them that their attempt to subvert your agreement with us will mean that they have no permission to use any of our services. We may take action if they use our services using an account they have obtained in this way.
You must let us know of any unauthorized use of your account as soon as you are able to after becoming aware of it. As we take security and privacy seriously, we will attempt to offer support in addressing any security breaches.
We may suspend or terminate it at any time. Equally, you may close your account at any time.
You are not allowed to record or share or disseminate the sessions or community content or create copies of our recordings.
The Slack Community will be dissolved and all personal data removed 1 month after the completion of the course.
When taking part in our learning communities or other services in any way, you agree to the following:
Not to upload any attachments that contain worms or viruses, or are otherwise malignant or damaging in nature
Not to post, upload or submit in any way content and media which is illegal either where you are in the world, or where we are, or any content and media which is not directly relevant to the functionality or service used
Not to post, upload, submit, or otherwise transmit any content or media that contains insults, hate speech, or other derogatory remarks.
Avoid any form of communication that could be perceived as threatening, harassing, bullying, or intentionally offensive to other users.
You must not send us defamatory or slanderous information and must not infringe the rights of third parties, contravene official regulations or breach public policy (“Illegal Content”)
Engage in constructive dialogue and providing feedback in a manner that is supportive and fosters a positive learning environment.
Cause nuisance to other users of our services; this includes but is not limited to spamming users, providing incorrect information knowingly
Interfere with the normal running of our services
Try to access our systems in a way other than those advertised by us and, in particular, to use a web crawler that does not respect the robots exclusion policy
All of the above also applies to the conduct in video seminars.
5 - Video Seminars
Please note that we may record video seminars to facilitate ongoing learning and accessibility for our community. The recording of these seminars will include both audio and video feeds, as well as any chat participation. We will always announce the commencement of recording at the beginning of each seminar session.
If you are not comfortable with your video footage, voice, or chat participation being included in these recordings, you are free to exit the live video seminar. Selected recorded sessions will be made available to the learning community, allowing you to review the content at a later time without being recorded.
Recording or redistributing seminar content without explicit permission from us is strictly prohibited. This includes any recordings made by us and shared within the learning community. We enforce this policy to respect the privacy and intellectual property rights of all participants and facilitators involved in our seminars.
6 - Intellectual Property and other informational rights
This platform contains many types of data, code, and other information, which are protected by applicable copyright laws. The platform and the learning community may also contain personal information about our leadership, team members, content creators or other participiants, such as their names and photos; additional laws in regard to their informational rights and freedoms, such as data protection laws, may apply. This data is protected under a variety of laws including data protection laws.
It is therefore not permitted to crawl, scrape, download, feed to AI or use for AI training, copy, or distribute the whole or any part of this platform. No part of the platform, community, learning materials, video seminars or other content may be copied, reproduced, republished, uploaded, posted, publicly displayed, encoded, translated, transmitted, or distributed in any way (including “mirroring”) to any other computer, server, website or another medium for publication or distribution or for any commercial enterprise, without our express prior written consent. All text, graphics, user interfaces, visual interfaces, photographs, trademarks, logos, artwork, and proprietary computer code (collectively, “Content”), including but not limited to the design, structure, selection, coordination, expression, “look and feel” and arrangement of such content, contained on the site is owned, controlled or licensed by or to Tälist, and is protected by copyright and trademark laws, and various other intellectual property rights and unfair competition laws. Own notes on content are allowed.
Legal provisions that give you the right to use the content of this platform, in particular, press and copyright law, remain unaffected.
Any content that you provide to us will be processed in accordance with your request and may be reproduced and distributed within the learning community and stored for the purpose of processing your request. If you wish to restrict this processing or if the content contains confidential information, you are obliged to inform us in advance when transmitting your content. A restriction on the processing of transmitted content can also be communicated to us in writing after the transmission of the content and we will implement this restriction as far as possible. However, a subsequently communicated restriction does not constitute the illegality of the previous processing.
Any data pertaining to yourself or the company you represent which might be incorrect or should be removed can be amended or removed upon your request. Please contact us to address these questions.
7 - Content
We are liable for the content on our platform to the extent that this is governed by the applicable law. However, we do not accept any liability for the accuracy, completeness, suitability for a particular purpose, or currency of the information published on our platform or the learning community.
Downloads shall be entirely at your own risk. We shall not be liable for any damage which may result from the download, installation, storage, or use of software or content from our platform, the learning community or video seminar chats not due to our fault. Although we have measures and policies in place to ensure maximum safety for the users of our platform and services, any liability for damage or disturbance of functionality caused by viruses, worms, or otherwise malignant software is excluded to the extent permitted by the applicable law.
If you follow an external link and thereby leave our platform, learning community or video seminar chats, the content of such other websites is beyond our control and influence. We do not accept liability for this. If it comes to our attention that links published on our platform contain illegal content, we will disable the link after investigation and verification of its illegality. Please note that the terms of use and privacy statements of such linked sites differ from the Terms of Use and Privacy Statement of our platform. Therefore, you should read and comply with the privacy statements and terms of use posted on linked sites.
9 - Rights Reserved by Tälist
Tälist does not warrant that the services offered on its platform or communities are available at certain or all times. Disturbances, interruptions, or a possible breakdown of the online service cannot be excluded by Tälist.
We reserve the right to change, extend, limit, or withdraw our services or to delete data without notice at any time. You have no right to claim publication.

8 - Withdrawal
In line with Tälist's policies and in accordance with the German Civil Code (BGB), you are entitled to a 14-day withdrawal period from the moment of your course registration. Please be advised, however, that as per Tälist's specific terms, this right to withdraw is forfeited once the course begins. We urge you to carefully consider your commitment prior to the start of the course, as withdrawal or cancellation is not possible after the course has commenced.
10 - Privacy
Tälist complies with GDPR and takes privacy seriously. Please ensure to familiarise yourself with our privacy policy.
Certain features or services offered on or through the platform may require you to open an account and provide personal information. You are entirely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the information you hold for your account, including your password, and for any and all activity that occurs under your account as a result of your failing to keep this information secure and confidential. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or password, or any other breach of security.
You may not use anyone else’s login, password, or account at any time without the express permission and consent of the holder of that login, password, or account. Tälist cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with these obligations.
11 - Liability Limitation
We shall be liable for damages caused by us only if such damages are:
- caused by gross negligence, malicious intent, or malicious deception,
- caused by breach of fundamental contract obligations, which are the basic duties forming the essence of the Agreement and were decisive for the conclusion of such Agreement. In case of breach of fundamental contract obligations through simple negligence the ensuing liability for damages shall be limited to the foreseeable amount.
We shall also be liable for any guarantees assumed by us being violated, pursuant to the scope of the agreed guarantee.
Any liability not expressly provided for in the TOUC or any other bilateral agreement between the Parties shall be disclaimed.
12 - Term Activation and Termination
The TOUC become effective upon your enrollment in the online course (“Effective Date”). These terms apply throughout the duration of the course and will remain in effect until the course completion, or until any agreements related to the course are otherwise terminated.
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to our services without liability, should we have a good faith belief that you have violated any of the clauses in the TOUC or any other related agreement. This includes, but is not limited to, non-compliance with the course conduct guidelines, misuse of course materials, or unauthorized sharing of course content.
Any notice of termination or suspension will be communicated in written form, such as via email, and will be considered effective upon sending. It is your responsibility to ensure that your contact information is up to date to receive such communications.
13 - Applicable Law
All agreements between the Parties, including the TOUC, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Germany, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. This does not impede the application of mandatory consumer protection laws at the seat of the consumer (as defined in § 15 German Civil Code).
14 - Miscellaneous
You agree to use the Internet at your own risk. We have no liability for any downtimes on our platform caused by technical problems or access to the internet.
The TOUC and its interpretation shall be governed by German law. The exclusive place of jurisdiction is Berlin, Germany (Landgericht Berlin). However, if you are a consumer within the meaning of Article 6 (2) of Regulation (EC) no 593/2008, this choice of law may not deprive you of the protection granted by mandatory provisions under the law that would have been applicable (in the absence of a choice of law). We reserve the right to amend these Terms of Use for Courses from time to time. The invalidity or incompleteness of any individual provision of these Terms of Use for Courses will not affect the validity of the remaining terms.
These Terms Of Use for Courses replace all other terms of use for courses previously applicable to the use of our website.
